Terlaje & Moylan move to double local stimulus payment to workers.

Senators Therese Terlaje and Jim Moylan introduced an amendment to Sen. Regine Lee's local stimulus bill that doubles the original amount.

If passed, private sector workers who made less than $40,000 in 2019 or 2020 will receive up to an $800 stimulus check. Joint filers will receive up to a $1,600 stimulus check.

Ms. Lee raised concern about the ultimate pricetag.

The Guam Legislature currently is debating Ms. Lee's Bill No. 340, which if passed into law will roll out a local stimulus package to help Guam's taxpayers in the private sector.
