Beloved Monsignor David I.A. Quitugua has died

By Troy Torres
It is with a heavy heart we inform you that Monsignor David I.A. Quitugua has died. "Father David," as my family knew him, baptized all of my brothers and sisters on my dad's side of the family, including my eldest sister Tammy, who was born on this date in 1971.
News of Monsignor Quitugua's passing came moments ago from his nephew, Congressman Michael Franklin Quitugua San Nicolas. Mr. San Nicolas's grandfather, the late Speaker Franklin Quitugua, and Monsignor Quitugua were brothers.
Here is Congressman San Nicolas's statement:
"This hurts. Bad. In a time of much pain and ugliness it was always reassuring to know that a man of such holiness as Monsignor Quitugua was not only there as a spiritual guide but as family. This past year has been hard, and it is made harder still...but Lord we declare that all good things come from You, he was of You, we present his Soul to You, and we pledge in our pain our devotion to You. Amen."
