(Tumon, Guam) The Saipan Tribune is reporting and confirming that former Guam chief prosecutor Phil Tydingco will no longer be general counsel to Imperial Pacific International (CNMI), LLC, the embattled Saipan casino operation, starting next week.
Mr. Tydingco, his records, and even his phones have been among the subjects of the Federal Bureau of Investigation massive RICO case involving public corruption and foreign interference in United States elections.
Kandit had received word last week that Mr. Tydingco had resigned. We were able to get Mr. Tydingco on the phone during a live interview, and we asked Mr. Tydingco whether he in fact resigned. He hung up the phone.
Mr. Tydingco is the younger brother of U.S. District Court of Guam chief judge Frances Tydingco-Gatewood, and the older brother to former Guam seaport board chairman Daniel J. Tydingco.
UNBELIEVABLE!
He's refocusing his practice to jailhouse law, with an emphasis on canned mackerel transactions and injunctive hand relief.
