BREAKING NEWS: Travel restrictions from Korea, Japan, and Taiwan to be eased July 1

By Nancy I. Maanao

Gov. Lou Leon Guerrero has announced she will ease travel restrictions to Guam from South Korea, Japan, and Taiwan effective July 1.

This is conditioned on no new major spikes in Coronavirus infections, according to the governor.

"I will not hesitate to reimplement social isolation measures in the future," Ms. Leon Guerrero said.

The existing public health emergency allows the governor and her public health director, Linda DeNorcey, to make decisions that adversely affect the economy on a whim. The legislature is able to end this authority by a vote of eight of its members.

No matter what Guam OR the CNMI (as Saipan Gov. has express opening the border about the same date)

From the last report, Japan, Korea have their own travel restrictions along with incoming required Quarantine for their own Cit. coming back into their country.

IF these countries allow their Cit to travel out, how many of their people would want to travel and then face another 14 days Quarantine upon their return,?

Another thing is there is still travel restriction imposed by the US for China, Euro and some other countries to enter any US port of entry. Last I knew Guam and the CNMI are still considered US port of entry.

What the CNMI and Guam Gov. want, may…

Well, goober-na Little LouLG hasn't shown real facts the Guam Medical Staff has dealt with COVID19 Crisis. So far Little LouLG says one thing and then has to backtrack. The bottom line, Little LouLG has no professional example to fall on.
