The Joint Typhoon Warning Center has upgraded Invest 94W to Tropical Depression 06W.
The storm is packing sustained winds of 34 miles per hour.
The storm was last located 241 miles southeast of Andersen Air Force Base.
Global forecast models show the storm passing south of Guam, though meteorologist Landon Aydlett with the National Weather Service said the track’s wobble could mean the storm could veer closer to Guam and Rota.
