Cyclone expected to be a tropical storm by Tuesday morning

The National Weather Service expects Tropical Depression 06W to become a tropical storm by tomorrow morning, according to its 1 pm.

NWS will be providing a live update at 2 pm via Facebook for the public. Kandit will be covering the live feed.

“At 100 PM CHST...0300 UTC...the center of Tropical Depression 06W was located near Latitude 11.4 degrees North and Longitude 146.9 degrees East. 06W is moving west-northwest at 12 mph and is expected to make a slight turn toward the northwest with little change in forward speed through Tuesday afternoon. “Maximum sustained winds are currently 35 mph. 06W is forecast to maintain this intensity tonight then slowly intensify, becoming a tropical storm Tuesday morning.” - NWS bulletin

A tropical storm warning now is in effect for Guam. A tropical storm watch now is in effect for Rota. According to NWS:
