Governor scheduled to leave Guam this week

By Troy Torres

(Tumon, Guam) Public health director Linda DeNorcey may not be the only person leaving Guam in the middle of the growing Dengue crisis.

Governor Lou Leon Guerrero is scheduled to speak before the Guam Heritage Association of Nevada on September 28, which is this coming Saturday.

The Governor's Office has not confirmed whether Ms. Leon Guerrero will be changing her travel plans in consideration of the public outcry for leadership during these times.

Ms. DeNorcey, who is in charge of managing and controlling the spiraling outbreak, left Guam this morning to attend a conference in Washington, D.C. According to a release by the Governor's Office, while there Ms. DeNorcey will speak with U.S. Department of Health and Human Services officials regarding resources needed to combat the outbreak on Guam.

Neither the Governor's Office nor the Guam Legislature has prepared any bills to appropriate more local funding needed to address the Dengue outbreak.

In response to our inquiry on the Governor's travel plans, governor's director of policy Carlo Branch told Kandit News, "The governor is and will continue to govern on Guam."

This is a developing story.

Yup, when the going gets tough, everyone runs and hide. This administration is a dog and pony show. Save face and step down
