Heavy rains, flash floods today; wet week ahead for the Mariana Islands

A trade winds disturbance is on our horizon and is expected to bring heavy rains, flash floods, and high surfs to the Mariana Islands starting tonight, according to the National Weather Service.

The wet system is expected to go through the next week.

The NWS warns the Islanders of Guam, Rota, Tinian, and Saipan of dangerous rip currents on east-facing reefs.
