A torrential downpour in Umatac has flooded parts of the village.
Video footage provided by multiple sources show major flooding and what appears to be two men on a boat trying to save the life of a cow swept out by the flood.
Sources tell Kandit the cow drowned. The video below shows the animal on shore after the boaters were able to bring its carcass from Umatac Bay.
Whoever those men are: you are today's heroes. Thank you so much for caring enough and for trying to save that cow's life.
