Residents of Rancho Camacho, Talofofo, a residential subdivision, are reporting that brush fires on the hillside are quickly approaching homes.
“Guam Fire Department Engine 11 and Dept. of Agriculture Forestry units are on scene of a grass fire, approximately 4 acres, Route 4a by Rancho Camacho Subdivision,” GFD spokeswoman Cherika Chargualaf said. “Report came in at 1340 hours, Engine 11 on scene within minutes. Guam Police Department is on site assisting with traffic control.”
According to Chargualaf, no homes are being evacuated at this time.
