She showed the police several messages he sent to her phone. These messages from Mr. Reese include, “I want to see you die,” “I’m going to hurt you,” and “I’ll kill you now.”

His victim told police she feels he is capable of carrying out these threats, and that he has been physically abusive with her ini the past. She said she also has seen him with a gun.

Some time between September 9 and September 30, Mr. Reese was in jail for a parole violation. Police found out he would be released September 30, so they waited and took him into custody once released.

Prosecutor Alysa Draper-Dehart, in her declaration of probable cause, accuses Mr. Reese of harassment as a misdemeanor.
