(Tumon, Guam) John Derrick Pangelinan Reyes, 25, is accused of threatening to kill his ex-girlfriend and their unborn baby, after she told him she was pregnant.
This past Saturday she found out she was pregnant, went to his home, and asked Mr. Reyes to speak with her. They went to her home, where she accuses him of becoming angry, hitting her twice in the face, then telling her, “I’m going to kill you and that baby.”
She fled.
Last night she entered the Hagatna Police Precinct to make her complaint against him. Within minutes police officers located him sitting at a bus stop, where he uttered to them without prior questioning, “I didn’t assault anyone.” He told police that he was at his pregnant girlfriend’s house, and they argued about him wanting to go home.
Mr. Reyes has a February 21, 2019 order from Judge Vernon Perez “to not harass, assault, or threaten the Victim,” according to the declaration of probable cause by prosecutor Alysa Draper-Dehart. She accuses him of Family Violence as a misdemeanor, and Violation of a Court Order as a misdemeanor.
