Meteorologists watching weather system southeast of Marianas

(Tumon, Guam) Weather experts are watching a system of winds and rain with maximum sustained winds of 17 miles per hour as of 7:35 a.m. (ChST). The system, called Invest 95W, is 1,257 miles southeast of Guam, between the Republic of the Marshall Islands and the eastern portion of the Federated States of Micronesia.


Weather expert Will Weaver 17 hours ago wrote that 95W could develop gradually, if an area of low pressure develops today. The system is moving slowly and erratically northwest.


As of 7:35 a.m. today (ChST), 95W was located at 9.4°N latitude 162.8°E longitude. Guam is located at ca. 13.4°N latitude 144.7°E longitude.
