NEWS: Irate customer and threat of violence closes some GovGuam offices

By Troy Torres

(Tamuning, Guam) Government offices scattered throughout the nine-storey ITC Building in Tamuning were told to shelter in place, some believing there was an active shooter threat.

The threat turned out to be an irate Guam Housing Corporation customer who was perceived to be escalating toward violence, according to an employee. Police responded.

Offices throughout the fifth floor of the building, which includes GHC, the Hagåtña Restoration and Redevelopment Authority, and Guam Economic Development Authority have been closed for the day as a precaution.

Guam Homeland Security officials have confirmed that there were no active shooter drills/exercises today.
