Guam Police Department's Criminal Investigation Division is investigating the stabbing of a man near the New Plaza Market in Tamuning Sunday.

Police believe that around 4 p.m. Sunday, the man was with a group of men by the market, when a fight broke out. He was stabbed in the back.

The man went home at the Hemlani Commercial Apartments, where his wife called police. He was taken to Guam Memorial Hospital "for treatment and care, where he was listed in stable condition," according to police spokesman Sgt. Paul Tapao.
