NOTICE: No tsunami threat to Guam from Russia earthquake

There is no tsunami threat at this time to Guam from a magnitude (preliminary) 7.5 earthquake off the eastern coast of Russia at 12:49 p.m.

According to the Guam Homeland Security/Office of Civil Defense, a tsunami watch is in effect for California, Alaska, British Columbia, and Washington state. According to global wires, Hawaii also is under a tsunami watch.
