(Tumon, Guam) At around 3 p.m. today, Guam Power Authority reported an unscheduled outage in Barrigada Heights affecting 198 customers on North Sabana Street. GPA crews were en route to fix the problem at 3:17 p.m.
At 4:20 p.m., all but eight of the homes had their power restored. Their power will be restored "following repairs to damaged pad mount transformer."
GPA encourages its customers to make payments online or via its Pay by Phone service. GPA provides the following information for people who want to pay their bills:
Beginning Monday, 23 March 2020, all GPA customers, particularly those unable to use the utility’s online payment options, can conveniently make cash, check and credit card payments at the GWA Upper Tumon Customer Service Center Drive Thru Window. This service will be available Monday through Friday, from 8:30 A.M. to 3:30 P.M.
“We appreciate GWA’s efforts and share the primary concern for the protection and safety of all GWA and GPA employees, and our customers,” stated GPA General Manager John M. Benavente, PE.
“To ensure the well-being of our employees, we have a limited number of customer service representatives fielding phone calls. All customers can be assured that we are monitoring and responding to customer inquiries. We have suspended non-payment disconnections through March 2020 and will continue to work with our customers on a case- by-case basis regarding their accounts. GPA’s priority is to provide critical electric service to the island during this unfortunate pandemic,” added Benavente.
All customers and the general public are advised to note the following important information for contacting GPA:
1. Power Service Interruptions/Trouble Calls/Emergencies
For all power interruptions of service and power emergencies, customers should all GPA’s 24/7 Trouble Dispatchers at 475-1472/3/4.
2. Call Center Services Customer service representatives are available by telephone to respond to service inquires. Limited LIVE Call Center and Pay By Phone services are available from 8 a.m. through 5 p.m., Monday through Friday, at (671) 647-5787. The availability of service is subject to change.

3. GPA Permits and Inspections
Inspections for new power service application inspections and installations are temporarily suspended until further notice. Updated information will be provided as it becomes available.

4. Power Bill Payments/Disconnections GPA has temporarily suspended power service disconnections through 31 March 2020. All online payment services are fully operational for all GPA customers. Customers are encouraged to make their power utility payments:
