The following is a news release from the Guam Police Department:
As reported, on Sunday, June 6, 2021, the Guam Police Department initiated a death investigation relative to an incident that occurred at the Hotel Mai'ana on Route 10A in Tamuning.
Preliminary reports suggest that 39-year-old Virginia Rose Peredo Laguana was transported to GMH relative to sustaining multiple laceration injuries. She was later pronounced deceased by attending physicians.
A 19-year-old female victim was also transported to Guam Regional Medical City for treatment and care.
The Guam Police Department is asking the community assistance in locating, 27-year-old John Richard Bass III.
John Bass is wanted for questioning by detectives relative to the ongoing investigation. John Bass is considered to be armed and dangerous and should not be approached.
