The Office of the Governor of the CNMI put out a fact sheet on the eligibility of residents for direct federal cash assistance.
We made one edit to the fact sheet. The federal economic rescue package was NOT put together by Governor Ralph Torres and the nation's governors. It was created by Congress, of which CNMI Congressman Gregorio "Kilili" Sablan and Guam Congressman Michael San Nicolas are a part.
The gentlemen from the Marianas were the ones instrumental in ensuring Saipan, Tinian, Rota, and Guam's inclusion in the direct cash assistance and the Pandemic Unemployment Insurance programs.
The Governor's Office in Guam has NOT put together a similar fact sheet for the people of Guam.
