Yigo resident Pam Duvall this morning sent video of a palm tree posing a hazard in Tumon to former Gov. Carl Gutierrez, the president of the Guam Visitors Bureau.
Gov. Gutierrez, who was known during his tenure for his efficient handling of complicated and multi-faceted infrastructure programs, had the hazard mitigated within hours, after coordinating a multi-agency response. The tree was cut down by 10 a.m.
It literally took Carl Gutierrez less time to cut down a tree than it takes the rest of the government to issue a business license or marriage certificate (ironically, on paper from trees).
