(Tumon, Guam) A storm is brewing east of Guam and it’s headed toward the Marianas.
Invest 93W has been forming 1,242 nautical miles east of Guam. The direction of the winds and the warm sea surface temperature, according to information from the Joint Typhoon Warning Center, are producing favorable conditions for the storm to strengthen and develop into a tropical cyclone.
Global models agree that the storm will take a west-northwestward track, placing the Mariana Islands in the storm’s path.
