The Port Authority of Guam will be holding a Tribute tomorrow morning in honor of our frontline hero and COVID warrior Henry I. San Nicolas, who passed away on November 4th due to COVID-19 complications.
The funeral for San Nicolas will be held tomorrow, but prior to the start of the public viewing, a hearse carrying San Nicolas’s remains will be brought to the Port where a tribute consisting of his Port Strong Family, Governor Lou Leon Guerrero, Lt. Governor Josh Tenorio, Port Board Chairman Frank Santos, Vice Chairman Nate Taimanglo, Board Secretary Isa Koki, Speaker Tina Barnes, Port’s Legislative Oversight Chair Senator Clynt Ridgell and other senators, as well as a salute of trucks will be held. San Nicolas’ family members will also be present at the Port tomorrow morning for one final farewell. This special tribute will be done in accordance with the Governor’s Covid-19 Directives.
“Our Brother Henry will always be remembered for his smile, kindness and dedication to his family, friends and Port Strong Family,” said Port General Manager Rory J. Respicio. “His true legacy lies in the profound effect he had on those who loved him, and we will honor him tomorrow as we say goodbye to this amazing employee who will forever be revered as a frontline hero, and a COVID warrior for the people of Guam.”
The Port’s Tribute for Cargo Checker Henry I. San Nicolas will begin at 7:45 am and will be broadcast live on the Port’s Facebook page.
