Typhoon stronger, slows to 9 mph

(Tumon, Guam) Bualoi now has maximum sustained winds of 80 mph and has slowed to a speed of 9 mph, continuing to move northwest on a forecast that brings the typhoon 43 miles north of Saipan at it's closest point of approach. This is information according to the Joint Typhoon Warning Center.


The National Weather Service anticipates the typhoon to intensify even further before making itS closest point of approach sometime early Tuesday morning.
